Provident Pantry Biscuit Mix for Long Term Emergency Food Storage in a #10 Can

Buttermilk Biscuits are a very popular food item in American kitchens today, and it stands to reason you would want some in your long term food storage. Disasternecessities presents a wide variety of brands of Biscuit Mix, including Provident Pantry’s 51 ounces of Buttermilk Biscuit Mix! This mix is easy to use, you just add water or milk, and a little baking powder. Mix it and then roll it out! Makes incredibly flaky and tasty biscuits. Compares very favorably with grocery store brand versions. There is nothing like getting up on a Sunday morning and putting a big family breakfast together. Cook up some eggs, bacon, and buttermilk biscuits with some juice and milk, and you have a fantastic spread for your family.

DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING BUTTERMILK BISCUITS
In a mixing bowl, add 2/3 cup milk or water to 2 cups Biscuit Mix and 1 Tbsp + 1 tsp baking powder. Stir with a spoon for 1-2 minutes (30-50 strokes). Dough will be lumpy. Turn dough out onto floured board and knead 15 seconds. Roll out, fold in half once, turn one quarter turn, and roll out to desired thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425 F for 10-12 minutes. Yields 10 – 12 biscuits.

Unbleached-Enriched Flour (Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Iron Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Pastry Unbleached-Enriched Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), All purpose Shortening (Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil), Buttermilk Powder, Sugar, Soy Flour, Silicon Dioxide, Salt, Lecithin Powder (Liquid Lecithin, Defatted Soy Flour, Dolomite).
